RADIESSE®

With age, your facial skin beings to lose its elasticity and slightly weaken, resulting in the formation of lines, wrinkles, and other irregularities. Deep lines or creases like nasolabial folds or marionette lines may form and cause a less smooth, firm appearance of your skin. Also, you may notice a loss of volume and exposed veins or tendons on the back of your hands. If you have ever wished for a fuller, even appearance of your skin, then RADIESEE® or RADIESSE® + Men may help restore volume and a youthful appearance back into your skin.

What is RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® +?

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® + Men are cosmetic fillers scientifically designed to help restore a loss of volume in your facial skin. RADIESSE® can help you see an improvement in the back of your hands where thinning skin and a loss of volume are resulting in exposed veins. RADIESSE® contains calcium hydroxylapatite similar to the calcium-based minerals found naturally within the body. This calcium-based filler can help stimulate the production of natural collagen to correct the loss of volume. RADIESSE® is delivered in a gel capsule. Over time, RADIESSE® is slowly absorbed while the Calcium Hydroxylapatite is metabolized by the body naturally. As RADIESSE® is processed from your body, only the naturally produced collagen remains, leaving a glowing, voluminous appearance.

What can a RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® + filler help with?

RADIESSE® filler and RADIESSE® + can be used to restore your facial volume. RADIESSE® filler can help reduce the visibility and severity of nasolabial folds, frown lines, and much more. To adequately target your problem areas, our dermatologist will have a personal consultation with you to discuss your treatment goals and to create a RADIESSE® filler regimen that is tailored to your particular needs. RADIESSE® filler can provide dramatic improvements to lax or less voluminous skin with results that can last up to two years.

RADIESSE® filler can help reduce the appearance of:

  • Nasolabial folds
  • Wrinkles
  • Frown lines
  • Marionette lines
  • Depleted volume on the back of the hands
  • Pre-jowl folds
  • Downturned corners of the mouth

What should I expect during a RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® + injection?

A RADIESSE® injection is an out-patient procedure that may be used with a local anesthetic. The average procedure time for RADIESSE® filler takes approximately fifteen minutes. Each treatment is unique, and the time may vary depending on the extent of your individual treatment regimen. After a local anesthesia and antiseptic are applied, RADIESSE® is injected beneath the skin. In some cases, patients see immediate results, but many patients notice the most dramatic improvements in the week following their RADIESSE® injection. Since RADIESSE® filler is made up of components that are found naturally occurring in your body, there is often little to no recovery time or discomfort reported by patients.

Am I a candidate for RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® + injections?

Most patients with creases or wrinkling can benefit from a RADIESSE® injection, but certain medical conditions may prevent you from being eligible to receive a RADIESSE® injection. An ideal candidate for RADIESSE® filler is a healthy adult who wishes to improve moderate to severe signs of aging. If you are pregnant, you will not be able to receive a RADIESSE® injection.

If you have a skin infection, you will be required to wait until you are medically cleared and your skin infection has healed to receive a RADIESSE® injection. Naturally, if you are allergic to any component of RADIESSE®, you will not be eligible to receive RADIESEE® dermal filler. If you have a history of severe allergies, an allergy to lidocaine, or a bleeding disorder, you are also not a candidate for RADIESSE® filler.
